JAMES J. SHIELDS, Director (B Arch Sc ,Dip Arch.)
MARIA VLAHOS, Director (Dip Hort., BA.)
Landscape, Architecture, Gardens, Art, TTT - thirtythreetrees
TTT - (thirtythreetrees) was established in 2004 by Jimi Shields + Maria Vlahos. Based in Dublin City, TTT is a landscape architecture practice with strands of architecture, garden design and site specific conceptual installation.

TTT work with Ireland's leading architects, cultural institutes, developers, (promoting energy efficiency and environmental design), and private clients. TTT have completed numerous award winning projects and exhibited widely. Commissions to date include public urban space, cultural projects, public parks, hotel gardens, private estates and urban gardens. The practice is committed to forms of a timeless permanence with concepts that connect works to a specific place. "We're driven to create sanctuaries. It's about being in the absence of commercial, political or popular information. We're not selling anything; we have no interest in the sale of products. There's nothing cosmetic about it. It's about character and innocence; We create space for the chance to feel; to become more aware. It's a spiritual thing, like music, but without the musician's need to promote an image of themselves. The work itself is the image, and it thrives with trust. Without trust there is nothing." Excerpt: Lecture, University College Cork, Ireland 2015.

TTT - (sideprojects) undertakes temporary site specific installations.

JAMES J. SHIELDS, graduate of Dublin School of Architecture (DIT), is principal design director for TTT. Jimi has been invited to speak and teach at various professional institutes and universities including, the RIAI, the IAA, the AAI, UCD School of Architecture, UCD School of Landscape Architecture, Dublin School of Architecture (DIT), Queens University Belfast and UCC School of Architecture. Jimi has contributed writing to various publications.

MARIA VLAHOS, graduate of New York Botanic Gardens Professional School of Horticulture, is the plant specialist for TTT. Maria is the former Head Gardener of world renowned Mount Usher Gardens, (the only woman in it's 160 year history). Maria gave many talks while in the post. Maria hosts various site visits for UCD School of Landscape Architecture and Queens University Belfast.
